Isabelle turned 7 the day before our shoot. She was very excited about it!

She stays with her grandmother every summer so we get to see her a lot at the pool during the summers. Her grandmother told me that I look similar to her daughter, Isabelle’s mom, and thought that Isabelle would relate well to me during a shoot. We had a really great time together in her grandmother’s backyard! We looked at potato bugs, talked about birds, made different funny faces and enjoyed the morning.

She got this unicorn as one of her presents. It’s name of course was Corny. We had both recently seen Despicable Me so we bonded over the fluffy unicorn scene in the movie!

Doesn’t this make you want to be 7 again?

What a sweet sweet girl. Until next summer, Isabelle…

Haley C 2010

During our consultation Haley said that she really liked to cook. I got excited (i know, lame on my part) because it was the opportunity to shoot in yet again different setting for a senior. Haley was awesome in the kitchen…it was great to meet her family, and just hang out with everyone while we took some senior pictures! We also did some outside shots and yes it was very cold and rainy but Haley’s sister suggested that Haley bring an umbrella and I’m so glad she did! Very cute stuff!

Julie 2010

Julie and her dad came to meet with me for their consultation in September. I thought it was wonderful that her dad was with her because rarely do I get to meet the dads…usually the moms take care of senior pictures. Well I learned later during the consultation that the reason her dad was there was because Julie’s mom had just passed away in May. Broke my heart. Mr. Paris really wanted to be sure I got the right pictures of Julie during our session. We talked a lot about what Julie was interested in and trying to incorporate that into her pictures.

I enjoyed the session…Julie had an easy way about her which is always beautiful.

She also has the greatest dad. Thanks Julie and Floyd.

Holy Family Fall Festival and Alumni Dinner

Holy Family School has a Fall Festival every year that serves as a huge fundraiser plus tons of fun for all the kids and adults as well. This year there was also an alumni dinner for all of Holy Family’s graduates….recent and not so recent! There is a special place in my heart for Holy Family because so many of my family members have attended. My parents both graduated in 1965. My mother’s mom, Phylis Curtis Miller graduated in 1942. My dad’s mother Delia Lemon Gallaher attended 1923 – 1934. As well as many cousins, aunts and uncles. In 1986 Holy Family High School closed and I was in the 8th grade so I graduated from St. Joe High School in Ironton, OH. And now my four children are enrolled in Holy Family School! It’s such a warm, kind and caring atmosphere, I cannot imagine them anyplace else.

Rudy The Wonder Dog and the rest of the Klein Family

OK, if my family should ever disown me (hypothetical of course!) I am so going to live with the Klein’s. Look at them! Who wouldn’t? For real, totally sweet, kind and funny people. Very enjoyable session and a beautiful evening.

So this pretty much sums up Hannah! Fun, way cute, dimples the size of craters, energetic, fun, oh and cute. We started out in the studio with some more traditional shots and then moved on to the Paramount . After that we walked around the parking lot…it was such a gorgeous day and the sun was beginning to set. There was beautiful light everywhere so we were able to get lots of different shots right there in the Paramount parking lot! Check out her video for a peek at a few more shots from the session. Trent, Ali and Kim

Kim has been a close friend since my husband and I moved back to Ashland 12 years ago. Her son, Trent is 5 and just started in kindergarten at Russell Primary so Kim wanted some pics reflecting his new school. Trent was a little male model…he totally rocked it…made me smile! Ali is Kim’s niece and was visiting for the week. Her fave colors are pink and black and when she saw my pink backdrop she got very excited!! Thanks for coming in guys…it was a fun evening!

Erin & Ellis

Erin and Ellis got married in May in Tennessee at a fabulous place with family. These pictures were taken a few weeks after the wedding at an incredible party they had. The wedding celebration party was at Erin’s parents farm near Olive Hill, KY. All day it looked like it might rain and there were some dark clouds, but it held off til about 11 and turned out to be just breathtaking! The sunset there was brilliant! Congratulations to Erin and Ellis and thanks for such a wonderful evening!

Mallory needed a few headshots for a pageant she was entering…she blew me away. She said this was the first time she had ever “really” been photographed. It was amazing how comfortable she was…good luck Mallory…you are awesome!!!
